The Betty Rose Scholarship

The ASCAP Foundation Betty Rose Scholarship is presented annually to an outstanding, promising composer participating in The ASCAP Foundation Composer-in-Residence Program at the University of Southern California. Through this program, approximately 20 students from USC’s Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television (SMPTV) graduate program are mentored annually by a prominent member of the scoring community for three intensive workshop sessions. The recipient must be an ASCAP member or unaffiliated student who is pursuing a career in television and film scoring. The Betty Rose Scholarship recipient is selected by USC faculty with input from ASCAP Television & Film Scoring Creative Services Executives.
