The ASCAP Foundation Eunice & Hal David Instructor-In-Residence Award
|Eunice and Hal David|
Established in 2003, The ASCAP Foundation Eunice & Hal David Instructor-In-Residence Award provides funding to support the work of Pat Bass, an outstanding music instructor at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). Beginning in 2010 an alumnus from LACHSA is selected by Pat Bass, based on merit, to accept the Eunice & Hal David Merit Award at The ASCAP Foundation Awards Ceremony. Hal’s widow, Eunice funds this program in honor of her late husband, who was a long-time ASCAP and ASCAP Foundation board member and lyricist for such great standards as "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" and "Alfie."
