ASCAP board member and CEO of Carlin America, Caroline Bienstock, along with her mother Miriam and brother Robert, COO of Carlin America, established The ASCAP Foundation Freddy Bienstock Scholarship and Internship which honors the memory of publishing great, Freddy Bienstock. Bienstock dedicated his life to the music industry as a music publishing and record company executive. He founded Carlin America Music Publishing, under its current name in 1995. Their catalog includes more than 100,000 titles spanning a wide variety of musical genres. The ASCAP Foundation Freddy Bienstock Scholarship & Internship provides a tuition-based cash award to an NYU student interested in music publishing who completes a full-time summer internship at Carlin America.
