The ASCAP Foundation Receives Grant from Newman's Own

The ASCAP Foundation received a grant from Newman's Own® to support the 2005 ASCAP Foundation Summer Guitar Project at The Fresh Air Fund Camp in upstate New York. The ASCAP Foundation Summer Guitar Project provides musical instruments and music instruction to inner city children attending the Fresh Air Fund camps.   This program, which was initiated by The ASCAP Foundation, has had a significant, positive impact on hundreds of young campers.   For many campers this is their first opportunity to learn an instrument and work with a music teacher.   Paul Newman, as sole owner of Newman's Own®, donates all his royalties after taxes for educational and charitable purposes.
