The Process: In the Studio with Da Internz

Class is in session! 'Twas a glorious day outside when I visited with Tuo and Kosine, the production/writing team known collectively as Da Internz. Not that they'd seen the light of day that much -- they were hard at work at The Record Plant in Los Angeles, finishing up the debut single for Greyson Chance. Greyson rose to fame after his performance of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi," from a sixth grade talent show, was viewed like a bazillion times on YouTube. Da Internz co-wrote and produced Greyson's "Waiting Outside the Lines." It's a bombastic, exultant anthem of a pop ballad, and a big change of pace for a couple in-demand producers best known for their collaborations with urban artists like Yung Berg, Mims, Yung Joc, The Cool Kids and LeToya Luckett. But Da Internz are nothing if not versatile -- whether it's a pop record for Justin Bieber production or a grinding track for the Chicago-based rapper Dat Boy Hot, Da Internz kill it. They also make an art out of goofing around in the studio, as you'll get a glimpse of in this exclusive video interview.
